Now there are different opinions about who she’s gonna choose and who’ll be the end game. I heard people say that she will choose Delena now but then the end game will be Stelena because something in DE’s relationship will come up and they’ll break up. 

So I’m gonna look at the situation using Dawson’s Creek. 

I guess most of us now people thought Pacey and Joey are similar to Damon and Elena. I watch Dawson’s Creek ( still in 4th season so correct me if I’m wrong). In the show at first Joey was with Dawson. Then she dated Pacey. (She had to choose Dawson or Pacey at the end of the third season and she chose Pacey)  However something came up and they broke up. Then they somehow were together again. And at the end she had to choose again between Dawson and Joey. 

Everyone said that Dawson and Joey were soul mates just like they do right now for Stelena. However Joey chose Pacey at the end. 

Okay I talked too much! 

Anyway what I am saying is that Joey chose Pacey twice. So it can happen with Elena too. She can choose Damon but then somehow they can break up but it will only make Damon and Elena realize how much they need each other. So at the end she can understand how much she needs Damon and choose him once again…
